From the first moment I met your eyes, I knew I had fallen. From that first night I walked into your house I knew our love would never be.
My girlfriend you uttered. I decided you would be my friend, the feelings would fade, I would live with them. Then you invited me to your bed, I did not walk away.
You said it was a one off but you were back again.
I hated what I had done, the girl on the side I was becoming. I walked away, you beconed me back.

I know you are confused, you can’t love me and you won’t let me walk away. You know what to say to melt me.
So I tried to heep you distant and keep you close. You wouldn’t let me.
I tried to keep you as my friend. You wouldn’t let me.
So now I only show you the cold smooth mask of indifference while I cry as I ignore you and speak so casually to you.
I hope one day you learn to love and I wish I could be right now showing you the warmth of my heart. That this was a poem to you instead of no-one.
